Kathryn’s career blends opera and musical theater roles with concert works and ensemble singing. She has appeared as a soloist at many of the premier venues of the Midwest, including Orchestra Hall at Chicago Symphony Center, the Ravinia Festival, the Peninsula Music Festival, and the Grant Park Music Festival. She has recently been heard in Sondheim roles at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater and Muddy River Opera, and is a frequent soloist at Broadway pops concerts in the Chicago area. Kathryn is a member of Chicago a cappella, where she enjoys singing everything from Bach to Bohemian Rhapsody. Also a music educator, Kathryn leads vocal workshops in the Chicago Public Schools as a Visiting Artist with the International Music Foundation. She is the Stage Director for Bowen Park Opera, and records regularly with Hinshaw Music.
